Hanna is an American web drama for web television, created and written by David Farr, directed by Sarah Adina Smith and co-written and created by him, with Michael J. Fox and David Duchovny as executive producers.
Amazon released the first eight-episode season in March 2019 and announced plans to shoot a second season by 2020. Amazon is aware that this has become a fan favourite and has renewed it, but is delaying announcing the season. The exact date has not yet been revealed, but Amazon has announced that the second season will premiere in 2020, and there is no word however on an exact date or even a release date.
In April 2019, Amazon announced that Hanna Season 2 is in the works and will be released on the streaming network in January 2020 in addition to Amazon Prime. By January 2020, a ton of new content is set to be released on streaming networks, including new episodes, new characters and even a new trailer. While we’re two weeks into the first season, the creators have revealed that it will be released in two parts, one in October 2019 and the other in December 2019.

Amazon has renewed Hanna for Season 2, and there’s more to come. Amazon is known for quickly replacing its hit series, and they did so with Hanna. Jack and Ryan were renewed for season 2 before season 1 was even released, so there is a good chance that Hanna’s second season will tell even more about the story.
This week, we met with the show’s executive producer and co-creator, Dan Harmon, about the renewal and what to expect from the upcoming renewal. There’s a good chance that the second season will drop out in March 2018, but who knows when Season 3 will be at its best.
The show, produced by Jordan Peele, was announced for 2018, but the trailer for Hanna was released during the 2019 Super Bowl. Season 2 will be available to Prime members in April, provided Amazon hopes it will be a huge success. The ten episodes are due to hit cinemas in February 2020, so the Marvel series from Disney feels a bit far away.
